This summarizes presentations at International Halal Conferences, which examines the concept of halal healthcare from an industry perspective, exploring its foundations in Islamic principles and its practical applications across various sectors of the healthcare industry. The study investigates the spiritual and physical aspects of health guidelines derived from Islamic sources, including the five pillars of Islam and teachings on nutrition, cleanliness, and exercise. It analyzes the challenges and opportunities in implementing halal standards in pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, managed healthcare, and healthcare facilities. The paper also discusses the emerging field of halal medical tourism, outlining key considerations for catering to Muslim patients. By examining these diverse aspects, this study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state and future potential of halal healthcare, highlighting its relevance not only for Muslim consumers but also for the broader healthcare industry. The findings suggest that while significant progress has been made in developing halal healthcare products and services, there remains a need for further research, standardization, and awareness to fully realize the potential of this growing sector.
